Data of 29 Billion People Breached In Latest Cyber Attack
USDoD Claims Responsibility for Massive Data Theft
Personal Information on the Dark Web
In what could be one of the largest data breaches in history, the personal information of nearly 29 billion people has been exposed. The stolen data comes from a data scraping service trading under the name scraping, which was allegedly breached by a cybercriminal group known as USDoD.
On April 8, 2024, USDoD posted a database entitled National Public Data on a dark web forum. The database contains the full names, former and complete addresses, and other personal information of 29 billion people.
This is a major concern, as the data could be used to commit identity theft, fraud, and other crimes. It is important to be aware of this breach and take steps to protect your personal information.
