Tremors Felt in Multiple Cities

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck West Texas on Tuesday, rattling parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and causing widespread shaking. The epicenter of the quake was located near the town of Venus, about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

The quake occurred at 10:24 p.m. CST and was felt as far away as San Antonio and Oklahoma City. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, but the quake was strong enough to shake buildings and cause some windows to break.
