Harrison Ford Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Legendary Actor Takes on Role of General Ross
Marvel Studios has officially announced that Harrison Ford will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking on the role of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. The character was previously played by the late actor William Hurt in several Marvel films, including "The Incredible Hulk," "Captain America: Civil War," and "Avengers: Endgame."
Ford's casting is a major coup for Marvel Studios, as he is one of the most iconic and respected actors in the film industry. He is best known for his roles in the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises, as well as critically acclaimed films like "Blade Runner," "The Fugitive," and "Air Force One."
It is not yet known exactly how Ford's Ross will be introduced into the MCU, but it is expected that he will play a significant role in the upcoming "Captain America: New World Order" film. The film is scheduled to be released in May 2024 and will star Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America.
Ford's casting is a sign that Marvel Studios is continuing to invest in its future, as the MCU is set to expand significantly in the coming years. With new films and television shows in development, the MCU is poised to remain one of the most popular and successful entertainment franchises in the world.
